Seth Dalgleish

Seth Dalgleish is a versatile bassist with over 12 years of experience performing on upright, electric, and acoustic bass. He served as principal bassist for both the University of Utah’s Philharmonia Orchestra and Westminster College Orchestra, bringing strong leadership and refined musicianship to each ensemble. In addition to his classical background, Seth has extensive experience performing in jazz bands, combo groups, and various contemporary ensembles. He was awarded “Outstanding Soloist” by WorldStrides in 2018 for his expressive bass performance.

Seth currently teaches private lessons in both bass and piano, sharing his passion for music with students of all ages. While the upright bass remains his primary instrument, Seth also enjoys playing electric bass guitar, acoustic bass guitar, and the banjo. Bluegrass is his favorite genre, and he brings its warmth and energy into everything he plays. Whether in a formal concert hall or a more casual acoustic setting, Seth is a dynamic and reliable performer with a deep love for ensemble playing and musical collaboration!
