Kaitlin Booth

Cello

Kaitlin Booth is an active cellist and chamber musician from Eagle Mountain, Utah. She was 11 years old when she began studying the cello, advancing quickly as she fell in love with the cello's large range and deep, colorful tones.

While studying with renowned cellist and multi-style musician, Nicole Pinnell, Kaitlin’s love of the instrument and profound dedication grew, leading her to participate in ensembles such as the Utah All-State Orchestra, and perform in masterclasses with artists such as Steven Doane, Ka-Wai Yu, Tom Landschoot, and Hasse Borup.

Kaitlin has a strong background in classical music and has performed in venues such as Abravanel Hall, Eccles Concert Hall, Libby Gardner Concert Hall, Dumke Recital Hall, Noorda Center Concert Hall, Capitol Reef National Park, and the De Jong Concert Hall, as well as in venues across the United States, Dominican Republic, and Brazil. She made her international debut as a soloist with the Sinfonietta Vidin in July 2024, performing the Schumann Cello Concerto.

In addition to solo performances, Kaitlin has been featured as a multi-style cellist on a number of recordings for pop artists and composers in the Utah and Salt Lake County areas.

Kaitlin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Cello Performance from Utah Valley University, where she had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of Cheung Chau and Walter Haman (2017-2021). In 2025, she graduated with her Master of Music degree in String Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Utah, where she studied with Pegsoon Whang and John Eckstein.

In addition to performing with Artiva Strings, Kaitlin enjoys managing her personal teaching studio and running an online e-commerce business (wingmn.co). In her free time, you might find Kaitlin baking homemade sourdough bread, practicing yoga, or watching a good movie.
